You came to earth.
That much is certain.
Why are you here?
The la-la’s of the world will tell you that you came to be happy.
The foo-foo’s of the world will say that you came to be One with everything.
And the “yeah man’s” of the world will tell you to just chill out and enjoy life.
While these things may be true, they cannot be fabricated.
Yet, all of the la-la’s, foo-foo’s, and “yeah man’s” of the world are all doing just that.
They’re merely acting like they’ve achieved enlightenment.
But they haven’t.
It’s all an act.
Hidden behind a fake smile.
Concealed by a charm of goodness.
Don’t buy it. It’s a waste of money.
I know it’s a waste because I bought it.
There’s nothing wrong with a sense of idealism…as long as you move through it.
The problem is that most people stay there, head floating around in the sky while the rest of the world burns.
They live in their little bubble of privilege, smoking weed, drinking mate, and meditating in their boring homes and empty lives.
And when you meet them, their face floats out at you with a grin wider than your peripheral vision.
“She must be really happy!” you think.
“He is so gracious!” you think.
“They’re so at peace!” you say to yourself.
But how well do you really know them?
I’ve seen it a thousand million times. A fake hippie smile now usually results in a huge let down later.
Cut the crap.
Can we all just cut the crap?
I saw it in the “conscious community.” I saw it in the Law of Attraction groups. I saw it in the hippie communes.
I’ve seen the leader of an entire conscious movement refuse to acknowledge anything negative, painful, or dark. And then I saw him face legal charges for assault shortly thereafter.
I’ve seen it.
I’ve seen pretty white girls with big grins and bigger hearts inexplicably turn their backs on those who have helped them through their darkest times…for years.
I’ve seen people who just wanted “to live closer to Mother Earth” lose all of their money, lose their land, divorce, and then harshly criticize each other on a public social media forum.
I have seen fabricated peace, bullshit happiness, and empty smiles more times than I care to admit.
And it has led me to some amazing places.
If happiness is not found through faking it, then where do you find it?
You find it through struggle.
If you’re not 100% happy and peaceful 100% of the time, then that simply means you have work to do.
You came here to work.
You came here to struggle.
You came here to experience pain.
You came here to suffer.
You came here to overcome. And to triumph. And to ascend.
You came here to be happy. To be peaceful. And to be One.
But you’re not going to get there by faking it. No one ever does.
The only way you will get there is through the fires you face now.
The burning, raging flames of your life are the ones you must walk through…regardless of what others think.
If you want to ascend, then first come back down to earth with the rest of us.
Look around you. Suffering everywhere. In the 3rd world and in the 1st world.
There is suffering everywhere.
You can’t deny that.
People are suffering.
And if you think you came here only to experience the “nicey nice things” of the world, then why didn’t you just stay in the spirit realm?
Before you came here, you were somewhere. You were in the spirit realm.
But then you decided to come here.
And now you’re here.
You came for a reason.
No one goes to a shit pile to be happy and loving all of the time.
You go to a shit pile (hopefully) because you want to fix the shit pile.
And the only way to do that is to dig in and get your hands dirty.
But people have conditioned each other to be so damn afraid of getting a little shit on their hands.
They look down on the gardener. The trash man. The person suffering from depression.
When was the last time someone honestly answered the question, “How are you doing?”
We came here to experience being in a body. And being in a body sucks.
We came here to experience living on Earth. And Earth fucking sucks.
We came here to ascend from the material world and to help others do the same. But it sucks.
It all sucks. And until you embrace the suck, you will always be unhappy.
You came to planet earth to DO SOME SHIT. Not sit around and shield yourself from the suffering that’s everywhere around you.
Yet I see this all the damn time.
In my opinion, you don’t get to be happy until everyone gets to be happy.
Until everyone has the opportunity to be 100% at peace, you don’t get to sit on your ass and feign it.
Until there is no more war, no more famine, no more poverty, no more disease, no more tragedy…
…you don’t get to be happy.
I know that sounds gloomy. But it’s rather uplifting if you look at it the right way.
You see, by voluntarily discarding your happiness, you have the greatest power in the world: the ability to become truly happy.
When you embrace the shitty things, then you will appreciate the good moments much more deeply.
When you accept the shittiness and grittiness of life, then you become free.
In fact, you can only hope to become free by accepting the shittiness.
You will never become free by pretending it’s not there or by looking the other way.
Freedom is gained. It is earned.
It is not faked.
You cannot fake it until you make it when it comes to freedom.
To truly be free of all pain and suffering you must first walk through the fires of frustration, pain, anger, anguish, suffering…
I’m not saying that you need to martyr yourself. And I’m not saying that suffering is the end goal.
All I am saying is that the end goal is much more difficult than people care to admit…which is why most of us never embark on the journey toward freedom to begin with.
Most people numb themselves with various addictions, such as sugar, TV, video games, and alcohol.
Whenever something doesn’t go my way, it sucks.
It sucks but I’m content with it sucking.
You don’t always get what you want.
But instead of wanting something that’s uncertain, why not just want whatever comes?
What if you upgrade your needs and wants to preferences?
Think about that.
If instead of needing and wanting things, you were able to condition yourself to be fine with any outcome, wouldn’t that give you a much greater degree of freedom?
Wouldn’t you be happier if you were able to re-frame what it means to not get what you want?
It certainly would.
Research in the sales world has demonstrated this. When you’re learning how to do cold sales, a master salesman will teach you that a “No” is good because it gets you one step closer to a “Yes.”
I used to get upset when people say “No.”
Now I get excited. I have trained my mind to desire the “shitty” outcome. And it has freed my mind considerably. Instead of getting upset, angry, or depressed, I simply smile inside and say, “Next.”
Perhaps a much more powerful word than you have ever imagined.
What if you didn’t attach yourself to the outcome you *think* you want and instead accept and desire any outcome that might happen?
Better yet, what if you could just desire shittiness?
Imagine calibrating yourself to a mentality that sounds like this: “Well I didn’t get the job, but I did apply for it. And I did get rejected. And I did experience a tremendous amount of pain as a result. But this, after all, was what I came here for.”
I know it sounds crazy. But it’s not. It is very practical.
You can train your mind to embrace shittiness.
You can train yourself to accept that you didn’t come to this planet to have fun all the time.
You didn’t come here for everything to be good and to work out exactly the way you wanted all the time.
You didn’t come here for that!
You came here to feel the pain!
You came here to feel the burn!
You came here to extinguish your own ass so that you can help extinguish other people’s asses.
This is the real reason you came here.
If you wanted everything all nice and sweet and loving, you would have just stayed up in the ether. You wouldn’t have come down here if you didn’t have something to do.
Are you doing what your spirit had in mind?
It’s hard to know for sure, as we have all forgotten once we entered in the body.
But that’s what makes it fun.
The uncertainty. The challenge. The confusion.
These things are what make the game fun.
No one can tell you specifically what you came to this planet for. That’s your job and yours alone.
But they can try to tell you…as they do…all the god damn time.
“Do good in school. Go to college. Work a good job. Get married. Buy a house. Keep working. Retire. Die.”
It’s all the same shit. And hella people are just blindly going through the motions so that they can be “safe” and “comfortable.”
But you’re smarter than that, aren’t you?
You didn’t come here for safe and comfortable.
You came here on a god damn mother fucking mission.
You came here to fucking party like a badass mother fucker.
You came here to get your hands dirty…to bite into a handful of sand and fuck some shit up.
You came to kick some ass and to stop being a pussy.
You came here to stop being a bitch and do some hard shit.
You came to kick some ass and do your part to make everyone and everything else kick just a little more ass.
It all starts with you.
You ain’t helpin’ no one until you first help yourself.
How can you help someone kick ass if you suck?
First stop sucking.
Stop acting like a whiny bitch and get in there and do some hard shit. Fuck suffering. Eat that shit like it’s steak and eggs.
Get in there and bust your ass. Stay up late. Work on your dreams. Tell your boss to go fuck himself. Eat an orange peel. Take a cold shower. Go on a 10-mile run. Grab a handful of dirt and chew it.
You came here to learn grit.
Once you learn grit, there’s nothing that can hold you back.
It can be learned. It can be trained. But only if you’re willing to accept difficulty and only if you’re okay with some pain and suffering.
Grit makes you into a champion that can change the world.
Want to learn grit? Take my course WEEK OF POWER. It will kick your ass for one week…but after that one week you will never be the same.
After all…what did you come here for?
Did you come here to pet ponies all day?
Or did you come here because your spirit was fired up to kick some ass and make this shitty place a better planet to live on?
The choice is yours, princess.
